Exterior of home given a refreshing makeover with new 2-tone color paint
scheme. We trimmed back and removed some old shrubs, then added some new
Indian Hawthorn and Nandinas, and lots of pansies for color along with
red mulch to set it all off. |
 |
|
The kitchen was totally gutted and we installed brand new 'natural
hickory' cabinets with 'Uba Tuba' granite countertops. A fabulous
top-of-the-line LG electric convection stove with all touch controls was
added, and a matching LG stainless microwave and Kitchen Aid integrated
stainless dishwasher. The backsplash is 4" tumbled marble set diagonally
with bronze accents. The new stainless undermount sink features a new
swan-type chrome faucet/spray and new garbage disposal. Finally, new
under-cabinet lighting gives a very light airy spacious feeling to this
relatively small kitchen space. The floor is 18x18 "Tuscan Walnut"
travertine tile. |

|
The old fireplace was updated by cladding in 18x18 travertine tile with
a stunning rope-edge accent border. The old built-ins were removed to
make way for a modern TV/furniture and we refinished all the hardwoods
in 'American Walnut' with 2 coats of semigloss polyurethane for a superb
hardwearing finish! |
 |
|
Another view of the refinished hardwood floors. We installed a new oil
rubbed bronze fan and light with remote control. New paint shows off the
crown molding and baseboards. |
 |
|
Guest bathroom vanity was removed and replaced with a 5' cherry unit
with center drawers. The old vinyl floor was taken up and we installed a
Hardibacker base (glued and screwed over plywood) with new 18x18
porcelain tile for an extremely strong floor. Walls were retextured &
painted, and we added an elegant large framed mirror to finish the
picture! |
 |
|
The master bedroom closets were repainted in white semigloss with
refinished hardware. The tiled floor was replaced with more sensible
frieze carpet. Walls were also retextured and painted. Note the new
electrical outlets - in fact, the entire house had ALL
electrical/phone/TV outlets replaced with new ones. |
 |
|
The master bathroom was heavily reconstructed by moving walls/doors and
changing the configuration so we could add a 1/2 bath for guests. We had
to remove the old tub which was then replaced with a large walk-in
shower. Note the incredible body shower system and travertine/glass tile
design. Luxury! |
 |
|
The original single vanity was upgraded with new 6' white
cabinets/drawers and a new granite top. New white ceramic vessel sinks
and faucets were installed with single-hole brushed nickel faucets. |
 |
|
The formal living/dining room originally had a tiled floor and was
pretty bland. We updated with new paint (including an accent wall) and
new sculptured carpet. A new chandelier was then added. |
 |
|
The new 1/2 bathroom (right) features a wonderful trowel finish texture
with a mocha faux glaze finish on the walls. Travertine tiles were again
installed for the flooring. |
 |
|
The old fence was demolished and we installed a new 8' wood fence with 2
coats of Redwood oil stain |
