This traditional 1960's kitchen was completely replaced with new Shaker
style Expresso cabinets and "White River" custom granite counters. A
large section of wall to the den was removed to create a gorgeous open
plan kitchen with counter height breakfast bar. Note the fabulous
pendant lights over the new breakfast bar, on a separate dimmer circuit. |
 |
We also created a built-in space for the new refrigerator. This view
shows the elegant granite breakfast bar. New 3" recessed halogen
lights replaced the old 60's metal cans. New undercabinet lighting
creates a warm cozy feel to this large kitchen. |
 |
|
Here's a full view of the new kitchen ... love the stunning undermount
stainless steel sink and faucet. We also added a stainless steel and
glass cooker hood which connects to an exterior vent pipe. The
backsplashes are 4x4 tumbled marble with small bronze accent relief
tiles. Note the incredible travertine floor, which is unfilled chiseled
edge, laid in a "Versailles" pattern. |
 |
This view from the den clearly shows the old built-ins and small kitchen
doorway, which were removed to open up to the kitchen
space. We installed new Italian handscraped tobacco color hardwoods in
the den, dining room and formals. |
 |
The old brick fireplace (above) was simply painted in a
"Dark Cavern" color to modernize this feature. |
This close-up view of the new "White River" granite shows
the natural veins of this stunning granite slab. |
 |
View into the formal living and dining rooms shows the new handscraped
hardwoods. We constructed a pretty display recess
with hidden halogen lighting to highlight the new enlarged entryway. |
 |
The stairs were also updated with matching hardwood treads, and
restaining the bannisters to match. The old wood paneling
was sprayed with white oil based semigloss paint, along with the
vertical tread boards. |

Here's where the real tranformation starts ... these are both the same
camera angles looking into the master bathroom! The old master bathroom
was, of course, gutted and several walls removed to enlarge the space. A
new custom shower with frameless enclosure was built, and a new tub
installed. |
 |
|
Again, these are the same camera angles ...... you can clearly see the
wall on the left was removed and a new vanity installed in its place |
 |

The old tub was replaced and we retiled the backsplashes with
travertine tile and stone edging. |

|
A larger picture of the new vanity shows the elegant granite top and
undermount sinks, with new framed mirrors and lights. WOW !! |
 |
This shot of the master bedroom (before) shows a single window and wall
..... we added a new French door which gives tons of light and
opens up to the pool. New paint and carpet, of course, completes this
wonderful master suite. |
 |
|
The old guest bathroom was moved to an adjacent closet space. Note the
fabulous "Adobe Trowel" glazed texture on the walls! |
 |
|
The 5th bedroom was altered slightly and turned into a new study. |

The old pantry (L) was demolished and a full wide
double pantry constructed. |

|
This incredible view of the entry shows how we moved the wall and added
hardwoods to create an inviting welcome to guests !! |
