BEFORE      ... AFTER !! 

This 1990's kitchen had 'pink-washed' cabinets and laminate counters. All the cabinet fronts and drawers were refinished in a dark oak/walnut stain with satin finish. New 'Yellow River' 3cm granite counters were installed with Ogee edge. New tumbled marble backsplashes turn this into a very elegant modern kitchen. Mmmmmmm!

We also refinished the old butler's pantry to match, and added new undercabinet lights.

The space for the freestanding rack was used to build a new desk with matching granite top. We built a custom cabinet for books above the desk with matching crown molding.

In addition, we removed the old cooktop and installed a new gas slide-in range. Note the old window was replaced with a new larger unit which extends all the way down to counter height, giving a clear view of the back garden & pool. In this photo you can see we added 3 cool pendant lights above the new breakfast bar for a cozy atmosphere. A new chandelier was hung above the island also.

This view of the kitchen shows the stunning travertine floor which extends through to the breakfast nook.

We also finished out the adjacent guest bathroom, replacing both the vanity and toilet. The travertine floor continues into this bathroom from the kitchen.
