BEFORE      ... AFTER !! 

This traditional 1960's kitchen was completely replaced with new solid wood "Shaker" style Expresso cabinets and "White River" custom granite counters. A large section of wall to the den was removed to create a gorgeous open plan kitchen with counter height breakfast bar. Note the fabulous pendant lights over the new breakfast bar, on a separate dimmer circuit.

This 80's condo kitchen was extensively remodeled by removing the breakfast bar wall, and also the main wall behind the old stove. The old cabinets and counters were removed and a new solid wood white custom kitchen with "Raven Quartz" counters installed. Lots of new lighting and new stainless appliances turn this into a 21st century modern contemporary kitchen !!

Dramatic transformation of a 1990's kitchen involved removing the old breakfast bar and lowering it to counter height. Stunning "Bianco Antico" 3cm granite was installed throughout with new deep undermount stainless steel sink. All the cabinets were refinished in a dark oak color with strong satin finish. New 2" tumbled marble mosaic backsplashes were installed together with modern LED undercabinet lights & integral dimmers! We also hung 3 new glass pendant lights on dimmers for a great ambience. Finally, all the wallpaper and borders were removed, new texture was applied and painted. A simply fabulous 21st century makeover !!

This 1970's oak kitchen was given a complete 21st Century makeover with new granite counters, refinishing the cabinets with a custom 'tea-stain' finish and a stunning new travertine tile floor !! All the 70's "fir-downs" were removed and the walls retextured. The old lighting was updated with 7 new 3" halogen recessed cans, and a new flush white ceiling fan and light. The new counters are 3cm "Tropic Brown" style which complements the new cabinet finishes. In addition, a beautiful new tumbled marble backsplash was installed with small stone rosette accents, and also new undercabinet lighting to show off the new surfaces. We finally added new wood crown molding to the tops of the cabinets which truly give this kitchen a gorgeous "custom" feel !!

Another 1970's oak kitchen transformed with new 'ebony' stain and light satin finish. Note the old square recessed lights which were replaced with modern small halogen downlights. Finally, the door frames and crown molding were painted white semigloss for a more contemporary look.

The old hutch from the above kitchen was given a makeover by removing the 70's intercom system and then tiled with 6x6 tumbled backsplash with small bronze accents. The cabinets were finished inside and out  with an ebony stain as above. We also added a couple of compact undercabinet lights to show off the new finish!

In this 1990's kitchen, the light ash cabinets on the left were given the 'tea-stain' distressed look, with new Tropic Brown granite counters and new black appliances. We replaced the central cabinet to allow for a microwave / hood combo to replace the old extractor hood. Note the gorgeous tumbled marble backsplash with 4" bronze inserts. A stunning transformation !!

neglected 1980's  kitchen on left - cabinets were repainted white with new brushed nickel cabinet pulls, new granite counters and stainless appliances. We installed a double stainless undermount sink and swan faucet, and a gorgeous tumbled marble backsplash with stone accents and undercabinet lighting. WOW!!

All cabinets in this kitchen were stripped, prepped and stained in Bombay Mahogany gloss. New granite counters in "Uba Tuba" style installed with stainless undermount double sink and new swan-type faucet. Amazing slate backsplash added with 4" bronze accents. Finally new stainless 6" cabinet pulls added and new stainless appliances including a fabulous wine fridge.

1980's typical oak kitchen cabinets were stripped and refinished in "Red Mahogany" with new stainless steel 5" cabinet pulls. We also installed new Xenon undercabinet lighting. Finally, the walls were painted in a complimentary custom taupe color.

This kitchen was totally gutted and we installed brand new 'natural hickory' cabinets with 'Uba Tuba' granite countertops. A fabulous top-of-the-line LG electric convection stove with all touch controls was added, and a matching LG stainless microwave and Kitchen Aid integrated stainless dishwasher. The backsplash is 4" tumbled marble set diagonally with bronze accents. The new stainless undermount sink features a new swan-type chrome faucet/spray and new garbage disposal. Finally, new under-cabinet lighting gives a very light airy spacious feeling to this relatively small kitchen space. The floor  is 18x18 "Tuscan Walnut" travertine tile.

Storage cabinets were removed from divider between den and kitchen. "After" picture above shows the old "island" reinstalled with new granite counter and tumbled marble backsplash, together with new St. Cecilia granite breakfast bar. New gas cooktop and vegetable sink installed with oil rubbed bronze swan-type faucet.

Dramatic before/after picture showing newly refinished cabinets and new St. Cecilia granite counters. (The large island was removed and relocated in above picture). A double stainless undermount sink was installed with a Danze oil-rubbed bronze faucet. New Xenon type under cabinet lights installed. Above the double oven, an extra storage cabinet was installed which was also recycled from the image above!

This 60's kitchen was totally replaced with new maple "Cognac" cabinets with tall 42" wall units. We also added a stainless wine fridge and all new stainless appliances. Note the gorgeous slate backsplash with elegant bronze accents! Also a fabulous travertine tile floor was installed.

This modest kitchen was transformed by repainting the cabinets (we spray the units firstly with oil Kilz, then a hardwearing latex semi-gloss) and then replaced the old laminate counters with simple bullnosed granite slabs. New stainless appliances and a double undermount sink with oil-rubbed bronze swan faucet were installed. Finally a superb tumbled-marble backsplash with small stone relief accent tiles finishes this wonderful remodel.

A typical light oak kitchen from the 1970's was updated by refinishing all surfaces with a "Bombay Mahogany" gloss stain and then adding 5" stainless cabinet pulls. New granite counters with backsplashes in "Kashmir Sand" were installed. We installed new undercabinet lights to brighten up the work surfaces. Finally a double undermount 16ga stainless sink was added with a brushed nickel swan-type spray faucet. New Samsung stainless appliances and new 18x18 porcelain tiled floor completes this wonderful transformation to a 21st century family kitchen!

This 'vintage' small kitchen from the early 70's was simply repainted with Kilz/White semi-gloss and new basic granite counters added. Note the new breakfast bar which was newly constructed. We tiled the backsplash with 4" tumbled marble and a 'pencil' stone chair rail accent. New stainless appliances and undermount sink complete this amazing makeover!

You'd be forgiven if you thought this was a black/white photo on the "before" photo! Actually, we repositioned most of the cabinets and repainted them in a modern Rosewood color. We then added elegant stainless cabinet pulls and a new 6x6 slate backsplash. Note we opened up the wall between the den and kitchen and constructed a 5' breakfast bar. New halogen lighting was then installed for a great ambience!

Another example of a very simple update to a small 70's kitchen. Sorry we haven't got "smellovision " on the 'before' photo ... (it was BAAAAD!!). The 'after' photo smells gorgeous!
